RC-Rating Scenario System
See what a shock does to your agency rating before the agency does
The problem
For a multilateral or a supranational, the agency rating is the business. It sets the cost of funds, and it constrains how much can be lent. Yet most institutions discover the effect of a strategy, a shock or a balance-sheet change on their rating only when the agency tells them — by which point the decision has been taken. RC-Rating Scenario System replicates the S&P, Moody’s and Fitch methodologies so you can ask the question first.
What it does
Replicates the S&P, Moody’s and Fitch methodologies for multilaterals and supranationals, including transparent treatment of the judgmental scorecard elements, so you can test any strategy or balance-sheet change against your own rating.
Who uses it
Multilateral development banks and supranationals (primary), Commercial banks wanting own-rating scenarios, Insurers, Export credit agencies
