Risk Control Limited ("Risk Control", "we") is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. What we collect
- Enquiry and demo-request forms: your name, work email address, organisation, the topic you choose and your message.
- Research updates: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Job applications: the information you send us by email, such as your CV and covering letter.
- Technical data: our servers record the IP address, browser type, page requested and time of each request, for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies: see our cookies page for the cookies this site uses and how to control them.
We do not ask for special category data, and this website is not intended for children.
How we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration or discuss a project. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- To send research updates you have asked for. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the link in each email.
- To assess job applications. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into an employment contract.
- To keep the website secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
- Analytics cookies, if we introduce them, only with your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host and operate this website and our email on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it, and with authorities where the law requires it.
International transfers
If a service provider processes data outside the UK, we make sure an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, are in place.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and demo requests: up to two years after our last contact, unless they lead to a contract.
- Research update subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Job applications: up to twelve months after the recruitment decision.
- Server logs: up to ninety days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, contact info@riskcontrollimited.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
